Shayan: The Architectural Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIU) is deeply committed to supporting Nanakali Hospital and its patients. This commitment has been demonstrated through a series of impactful initiatives, showcasing the department’s dedication to community engagement and positive change.
The department’s efforts began with a seminar titled “We Are All in This Together,” presented by Research Assistant Noor Jafa Jamal, which outlined plans to support the hospital. This was followed by a visit from second and third-year architectural engineering students on March 6, 2024, as part of a social community project. These students used their artistic talents to create vibrant artwork on the walls of the children’s department, brightening the space and fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors.
Continuing their support, the department organized a food fundraising initiative, enabling the purchase of essential medical equipment and thoughtful gifts for patients. These donations were personally delivered to the hospital on May 9, 2024, by students and staff, who were met with heartfelt gratitude from both patients and hospital staff.
Furthermore, on May 6, 2024, the Architectural Engineering Department, in collaboration with the Nursing Department, hosted a seminar titled “Empowerment Community Partnership Project: Impactful.” Presented by Prof. Dr. Norhan Zeki Doozgy and R.A. Noor Jafa Jamal, the seminar focused on how to further assist the hospital and its patients. A key theme was investing in advanced technology and equipment to provide the highest quality care, ultimately improving the lives of those under the hospital’s care. The seminar also highlighted areas in need of urgent repair, such as the bathrooms, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach to patient well-being. These combined efforts demonstrate TIU’s commitment to blending cutting-edge healthcare with compassionate community support, enriching the experience for both patients and caregivers at Nanakali Hospital.
